This is Part 2 of two images with Part 1 being a starless crop of the "core" of the Flaming Star Nebula.

Deep into The Flaming Star Nebula The Flaming Star Nebula (also IC405, Sharpless 229 or Caldwell 31) is an emission and reflection nebula. It is about 1500 light years distant and is approximately 5 light years in diameter. It is illuminated by the blue variable star AE Aurigae - a runaway star that might have been ejected during a collision of two binary star groups. This collision has been traced back to the Trapezium cluster in the Orion Nebula two million years ago.
The nebula has a very strong Ha and SII component with plenty of structure in each. I imaged less time in SII since I planned to use Ha as the primary detail channel. The OIII was fairly weak without any real structure, however RBG was fairly bright with the blue channel containing quite a bit of core structure, so blue was combined with the OIII.
